Plant Description

Velvet Pillar™ is most notable for its unusual foliage; the purple leaves unfurl with a velvety appearance after it blooms for a unique appearance in the landscape. The buds emerge red and open to single rosy-pink flowers that are followed by sparse reddish fruits. An upright crabapple with a tight form and dense branching habit that is perfect for small spaces. Moderately susceptible to scab and fireblight, plant in full sun with well-drained soils.
