Plant Description

Narrow, pyramidal Nebraska native with light green leaves in summer turning golden yellow in the fall. The leaves rustle at the slightest breeze and are resistant to leaf spot. Adaptable to high elevations, drought, heat and humidity, and a range of soil types, thereby expanding the range of this mountain species. Plant as a specimen or in groups or groves for a naturalized effect. Introduced by J. Frank Schmidt Nursery in cooperation with the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum.
