Potted trees are a great option for many of our customers. They are easy to handle and afford! Generally speaking, they experience less transplant shock than their larger counter parts. After a single season in the ground, they are well on their way to becoming established. That means they require less from you! Diligent watering for a year or two is all they need to make them feel at home.
We have a broad selection of potted trees available, including a nice selection of fruit trees. These trees are grown in small quantities, allowing us to evaluate numerous varieties. Our biggest sellers, such as ‘Honeycrisp’ apples and ‘Autumn Blaze’ maples, are grown in larger numbers to accommodate demand. Potted trees are much easier to handle and plant than ball and burlap trees are. They are a great option for people who are planting multiple trees, because they cost less and they are less taxing to install. Because their roots are contained, they experience little transplant shock and resume their normal growth rates more quickly than spaded trees. Please note: We have switched from pricing by caliper (trunk diameter) to pricing by pot size. It is our hope that this will simplify our inventory, making it easier for us to update our online list more frequently. If you need to know the calipers of specific trees, let us know and we will be happy to measure them for you.
